County Council Elections May 4th

Thanks to the local members who put themselves forward as candidates in CSNI and overlapping County Divisions, some 6000 people chose to vote for Labour candidates in our Constituency.  Across the County the number of Labour votes rose by around 2000, but the share of the vote was down by a couple of percentage points.

Labour held all but one seat in Ipswich but fared less well around Lowestoft. UKIP votes appear to have gone en masse to the Conservatives.

You’ll find full details on the County Council election website.
